Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Probate Paralegal to join our Trusts & Estates practice in our Seattle office. OMW emphasizes a collaborative, team approach to the delivery of legal services and is seeking applicants who are like-minded, thus able to work independently, as well as with multiple attorneys and staff. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and manage deadlines, manage short- and long-term projects with proactive follow-through, have strong verbal and written communication skills, be detail oriented with excellent proof-reading ability, familiar with financial information, and possess a high level of customer service.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of four (4) years of experience working under attorney supervision in the following areas:
- Manage all aspects of probate, probate litigation, and trust administration from inception through conclusion;
- Preparation of estate and gift tax returns;
- Drafting correspondence regarding estate administration, including client communications and third-party requests for information;
- Drafting probate pleadings, preparing creditor’s claims, inventories of assets, accountings, and asset transfer documents;
- Preparation of documents for obtaining estate tax identification numbers and notices of fiduciary relationship;
- Calendaring probate and estate tax deadlines;
- Maintaining status checklists and engaging in proactive follow up where appropriate;
- Bequest and trust funding calculations;
- Organize and prioritize heavy caseload while meeting various deadlines.

The compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $105,000 a year. Other compensation includes an annual discretionary profit-sharing contribution and bonus consideration.
