Raymond D. Ogden, Sr. opened a small general law practice in 1902. Since then, Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. (which we lovingly call “OMW”) has grown to become one of the largest law firms in Washington. For the duration of this long history, OMW has been able to maintain the kind of personal attention to client issues that Mr. Ogden provided when he first opened his office doors. Over the years, OMW’s client roster has grown significantly and diversified to include individuals, businesses of all sizes, and municipalities throughout the Northwest.

Since OMW’s inception over 100 years ago, we have stayed dedicated to the same values that Mr. Ogden had when he founded the firm—a legal experience that is centered around the client and providing quality legal service. As a firm, we strive to make the legal affairs of our clients as smooth as possible by anticipating and preventing problems. However, when problems develop or clients become involved in disputes, our attorneys have the experience, tactics, and strategies to actively pursue and defend our clients’ best interests.

Over the years, like most things, there have been some changes and some constants at OMW. The changes have been welcomed and well-received. In the ‘80s, OMW expanded into Wenatchee which provided an opportunity to serve clients on both sides of the mountains in a meaningful and informed manner. More recently in 2018, the attorneys at Short Cressman and Burgess joined OMW, adding additional experience and expertise in new practice areas like construction, environmental, and tribal law. The constants at OMW are our valued long-term clients. Throughout the firm’s growth, we’ve had the opportunity to maintain and continue a relationship with many amazing clients. Some of these relationships extend decades such as OMW’s representation of Lockheed Martin (litigation), City of Redmond (municipal – city attorney), and Overlake Hospital (healthcare – general counsel). Our long-standing client relationships are significant to us as they signify the value we have been able to provide to our clients and demonstrate our commitment to client satisfaction.

As we continue to progress through the early stages of OMW’s second century of existence, we are looking forward to maintaining the OMW tradition of providing effective solutions with an approach that is focused on client service.
