Diversity

Diversity, Equity & Inclusion

We are intentional about creating an inclusive workplace that promotes and values diversity throughout the OMW community.

Our Mission Statement

OMW is committed to attracting, retaining, and developing a diverse community and workforce because we know that a diverse community creates a rewarding and inclusive place to work, and brings a broader range of perspectives and skillsets, which allow us to better respond to our clients’ needs.

We prioritize and value a diverse, equitable, and inclusive workplace by embracing each team member’s unique perspective, encouraging diverse applicants to apply for positions, providing ongoing educational opportunities to the OMW community regarding equity and inclusivity, and supporting initiatives and programs that aim to increase diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Efforts

Our efforts on DEI are continuous and occur in a myriad of ways. For instance, we are a Sponsor/Participant in the Gregoire Fellows Program for first-year law students at the University of Washington and Seattle University Schools of Law; we maintain an active Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee that works to foster diversity, equity, and inclusion within the OMW community; and we are implementing ongoing trainings for all attorneys and staff.
