Biography
Kait is an attorney in the firm’s municipal department. Her practice focuses on municipal law, land use and development, and water law. Kait represents a mixture of code cities, towns, and special purpose districts across Central and Eastern Washington. She regularly advises municipal clients in all areas of the law including land use, public works projects, contract review and negotiations, and code compliance.
Kait’s water law practice focuses on helping public and private clients navigate the complex legal framework governing water rights in Washington State. Kait works with clients on a wide range of water related issues including water right changes, acquisitions, relinquishment/abandonment analyses, and water system planning.
Kait received a B.A. in International Relations and French from Eastern Washington University and her J.D. from Seattle University School of Law in 2018. While in law school, Kait focused on issues of environmental law, water law, and Indian law and chose work experiences that explored these areas. Specifically, she was a summer clerk for Mentor Law Group and an extern with Earthjustice’s Northwest Office.
In her free time, Kait enjoys running, skiing, backpacking, and generally romping around Central Washington with her dog, Abby.
