Zach values the client relationship and takes pride in having an in-depth understanding of the unique needs and objectives of the municipalities he represents. That serves as a foundation for assisting his clients through the various challenges they encounter and in structuring solutions to appropriately fit each client’s needs.

Biography

Zach is a member of the firm and chair of OMW’s Municipal Department. He has over 20 years of experience in representing Washington cities on both a general counsel and project-specific basis. His practice includes all areas of municipal law, including litigation, land use, public records, governance and public contracting matters.

Zach is a member of the Washington State Bar Association (Environmental and Land Use Law Section) and Phi Beta Kappa.

Zach received his B.S., magna cum laude, in Political Science from Santa Clara University in 1994 and earned his J.D. in 1998 from the University of Washington School of Law, where he was a Notes and Comments Editor of the Washington Law Review. After graduating from law school, Zach served as a law clerk to Chief Justice Warren W. Matthews of the Alaska Supreme Court.
