Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. is seeking an experienced attorney for its land use and water rights practice in its Wenatchee office. This position will provide land use and/or water rights counsel to public and private clients. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of eight (8) years of experience and be well versed with demonstrated experience in all facets of land use/zoning matters and water rights law. All applicants must have a Washington State bar license or eligibility to obtain Washington State bar licensure within a month of hire.

The ideal candidate will be expected to:

  • Have an understanding of Washington water law and land use law;
  • Counsel private and municipal clients in water right strategy and transactions;
  • Manage all types of water right applications including new applications, change applications, and assignments;
  • Manage all types of land use applications, including rezones, conditional use permits, site plan review applications, planned unit developments, subdivisions, and short plats;
  • Research and analyze complex issues;
  • Provide telephonic and email advice to clients as needed;
  • Counsel to ensure compliance with state, federal, and local laws;
  • Communicate with prospective and existing clients in a professional, timely and courteous manner;
  • Represent clients in judicial litigation and administrative appeals, hearings and other proceedings; and
  • Negotiate/draft/review of contracts, deeds, leases, easements, and other documents.
