Business Paralegal - Seattle

Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. is looking for a self-starter who is committed to providing excellent customer service with a willingness to learn. The position works directly with attorneys and staff on our business team to assist in managing corporate process and procedures involving the formation, maintenance, dissolution and acquisition of corporate entities. This role provides a critical function for supporting a broad range of legal, transactional, compliance and administrative matters.

The ideal candidate is proactive, responsive, accurate, and organized with the ability to prioritize and manage deadlines individually and for the client service teams. This is a wonderful opportunity to work with a terrific group of attorneys and staff in a professional and fun work environment.

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of five years of business/transactional paralegal experience in the following areas:

  • Providing support on transactions, closings, and other due diligence
  • Drafting various documents (corporate, real estate, contracts, memos, reports, etc.)
  • Assisting with corporation and LLC formations
  • Preparing checklists and preparing for Annual Corporate activities and maintenance and Annual audits
  • Tracking and completing annual reports for corporations
  • Communicating and meeting with clients for various purposes
  • Organizing and maintaining document files and other materials (including corporate records)
  • Preparing lists and indices of documents and information
  • Maintaining and obtaining city and state business registrations and licenses
  • Recording documents with county recorders

Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Business school and/or bachelor’s degree desired
  • Experience working with corporate, real estate, or other transactional or legal departments
  • Strong technological aptitude
  • Excellent writing skills

Ogden Murphy Wallace offers a competitive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) and Profit-Sharing plan, paid time off, ten paid holidays per year, paid family leave, life insurance, and long-term disability coverage. The compensation range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000 a year. Other compensation includes an annual discretionary profit-sharing contribution and bonus consideration.
