SEATTLE, Wash. (April 2, 2018) Effective April 1, 2018, two of Seattle’s leading law firms, each with more than 100 years of history, joined together to create a multi-practice law firm servicing clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. Short Cressman & Burgess’ attorneys have joined Ogden Murphy Wallace, bringing the firm’s attorney headcount to nearly 60 attorneys. By adding the new attorneys, OMW becomes one of the top 10 regional law firms (headquartered and offices only in the Pacific Northwest) in the market.
Both firms are extremely proud of their well-earned reputations, a byproduct of the quality attorneys, the counsel they provide, and dedication to their clients. Clients can expect the same high level of service from the same team they already know from the newly combined firm.
“Ogden Murphy Wallace has been successful in the evolving legal market for more than 100 years by focusing on our client’s needs and consistently providing quality legal services” said Don Black, Chair at Ogden Murphy Wallace. “The addition of our new colleagues allows us to expand with a group that shares similar values and collectively allows us to continue to be competitive in a changing legal market. OMW is a great firm, with a great history, and it just got better.”
“Short Cressman & Burgess has a fantastic reputation amongst the Seattle legal community,” said Paul Dayton, Managing Partner at Short Cressman & Burgess. “Joining Ogden Murphy Wallace provides a great opportunity to better serve our clients through an expanded range of services and increased resources. We share longstanding roots in the community and we are very excited about the collective possibilities as we look forward to practicing alongside our new colleagues.”
The additions bring a new level of depth to OMW’s business, healthcare, litigation, and municipal practices, while adding substantial construction, tribal and environmental law capabilities to the firm. The new hires will all work out of OMW’s Seattle office.
OMW now offers the opportunity to better meet their clients’ legal needs through expanded resources and additional capabilities. Their ongoing commitment to serving the Pacific Northwest provides a tremendously exciting opportunity with an expanded range of capabilities and quality of service unmatched by other firms in the region.
