Beth is a member of the Employment and Labor practice group. A substantial portion of her practice is devoted to conducting workplace investigations for both public and private sector employers.
Beth holds an Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) Certificate, an American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited certificate. She also served as the Seattle Circle Convener for AWI, where she was responsible for the leadership of the local investigators’ professional membership association.
Beth frequently speaks to and trains clients, various national and local organizations, and special interest groups on Human Resources, Employee Relations, and other topics related to workplace management, including the critical skills managers need for performance management, professionalism, diversity, and inclusion awareness. She creates and facilitates seminars that provide practical tools necessary for a workplace’s daily operations while highlighting the vital importance of self‑awareness to a successful manager. Beth also works hard to keep attendees awake through her entire presentation.
Additionally, Beth guides clients in everyday workplace issues, such as ADA accommodations, discrimination and retaliation prevention, FMLA administration, and employee relations that focus on preventative measures employers can take to maintain both business culture and employee engagement. She provides comprehensive workplace law advice and strategic human resources consultation to public and private employers with timely practical guidance. In every unique situation, Beth strives to highlight the client’s time.
Beth has experience in both federal and state litigation in Washington and other PNW states. Prior to becoming a member of OMW, Beth was Of Counsel with Beresford Booth for five years and a solo practitioner for nearly a decade. Previously, she worked a total of eight years at the Seattle offices of two nationally renowned law firms and spent two years working for the Labor & Personnel Division of the Washington State Attorney General’s Office. Beth graduated from Seattle University School of Law and earned her B.A. at Scripps College. She is an alumna and former Board of Trustees member of University Preparatory Academy in Seattle.
When Beth isn’t working, she tries to drink enough caffeine to sufficiently energize herself to keep up with her daughter and dog.
