Legal Assistant – Trusts and Estates
Ogden Murphy Wallace, P.L.L.C. is seeking a Legal Assistant to join our Trusts and Estates practice and support the downtown Bellevue team. This is a self-starter position that requires the ability to work independently but also take direction and work within a team dynamic. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, ability to prioritize and manage deadlines, have strong verbal and written communication skills and be extremely detail oriented with excellent proof reading ability.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of two years of trusts and estates experience including, but not limited to, the following areas:
- Preparation and filing of pleadings in Probates
- Some drafting of Estate Planning documents
- Providing support for preparation of Federal and Washington State Estate Tax Returns, primarily involving Exhibit preparation and Asset Summaries
- Physical and electronic file maintenance
- Preparation of correspondence, typing and proofing of legal documents
- Photocopying, scanning and organizing documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and aptitude for learning new software (including NetDocs, Adobe, Docusign)
- Calendar maintenance and management, including docketing, scheduling court dates, appointments, and meetings
- Effective communication with internal and external clients, potential clients, other counsel, court officials, and messenger services
- Witnessing client document signings
- Greeting clients and other hospitality support

The compensation range for this position is $65,000 to $80,000 a year. Other compensation includes an annual discretionary profit-sharing contribution and bonus consideration.
