Doug Albright is the firm’s senior attorney and has served as Managing Member of the firm, Chair of the Business Department, and Chair of the Healthcare Practice. He has been active in business transactions and health law for over 40 years, representing hospitals, nursing and retirement homes, physicians, and other health related clients. Doug’s practice places particular emphasis on counseling clients on preventive measures to avoid unnecessary claims and disputes. He represents health care clients on matters such as regulatory compliance, medical staff affairs, corporate structure, reorganizations, sale of facilities, joint ventures, PPO and HMO agreements, personnel issues, and insurance coverage issues. Over the course of his career Doug has had extensive experience in mediation, arbitration and alternative dispute resolution, and is currently a panel member on the American Health Lawyers Alternative Dispute Resolution Panel.

Mr. Albright’s professional memberships and activities have included the American Bar Association, Forum Committee on Health Law, past Vice-Chairman of the Marketing Group Committee and member of the Economics of Law Practice Section; the American Health Lawyers Association, Medical Staff and Physician Relations Substantive Law Committee: Peer Review Task Force, and Managed Care and Integrated Delivery Systems Substantive Law Committee; the Washington State Society of Healthcare Attorneys; and the Washington State Bar Association, member of the Health Law Section. Mr. Albright’s biography is included in the 51st Edition of Who’s Who in America, and the 9th Edition of Who’s Who in American Law. Mr. Albright has repeatedly been named a Superlawyer by Washington Law & Politics.

Mr. Albright was born in 1948 in Bellingham, Washington. He received his B.A. in History, with Honors, from the University of Puget Sound in 1970 and his J.D. from the University of Washington in 1973.
