SEATTLE, WA (February 8, 2013) – Building upon its highly-regarded and specialized practice in healthcare law, Seattle’s Ogden Murphy Wallace has added three attorneys from the local office of regional law firm Miller Nash – Greg Montgomery, Dana Kenny, and Casey Moriarty.
Senior Member Greg Montgomery focuses his practice on regulatory compliance, including antitrust, Stark, and Anti-Kickback laws and regulations; and nonprofit tax issues in the context of physician contracting, integrated networks, mergers, and affiliations. He also advises clients on Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) issues. In addition, Greg provides counsel to hospitals and physicians on medical staff matters, peer review, and corrective action.
Greg is a regular speaker and author on healthcare law topics, and received his J.D., cum laude, from Willamette University College of Law and B.A. from the University of Washington.
Dana Kenny represents hospitals, physician groups, community health centers and related healthcare organizations in transactional and regulatory matters, particularly focused in the nonprofit sector. She advises on HIPAA compliance and other healthcare reform issues, and also represents colleges and universities in regulatory and compliance issues related to student health centers and the privacy of student health information.
Dana received her J.D. from University of Washington School of Law, and her M.A. in Medical History and Ethics and B.A., magna cum laude, from the University of Washington.
Associate Casey Moriarty’s practice focuses on patient privacy issues, including compliance with the HIPAA, Health Information Technology for Economic and Clinical Health (HITECH) and Washington State Uniform Health Care Information Acts. Additionally, he provides counsel on state and federal fraud and abuse laws, including the Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statute, as well as advice on business entity formation and compliance with the corporate practice of medicine doctrine.
Casey has authored many articles on healthcare law topics and frequently speaks at seminars and conferences concerning healthcare law issues. He received his J.D., cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law, J.D., and B.A., with honors, from Yale University.
