Julie Norton is an associate in the firm’s Wenatchee office, where her practice emphasizes municipal law, employment law, general civil litigation, business law, and real estate transactions.
Ms. Norton’s municipal law practice includes drafting interlocal agreements, contracts, and ordinances/resolutions. In addition, her practice emphasizes compliance with open government requirements, including the Public Records Act and Open Public Meetings Act. Ms. Norton’s employment law practices include drafting and reviewing agreements, labor negotiations, and arbitration.
Ms. Norton has been a contributing speaker at police liability and basic municipal governance seminars and workshops sponsored by the Association of Washington Cities. In addition, Ms. Norton has prepared and presented materials for employment law update seminars.
Ms. Norton was born and raised in Boring, Oregon. She received her B.A. in Business Administration and Finance from the University of Washington. While in college, she was an active participant in the Husky Marching Band. Ms. Norton then earned her law degree, graduating cum laude, from the Seattle University School of Law.
Ms. Norton’s professional memberships include the Washington State Bar Association, the Chelan-Douglas County Bar Association, and Washington State Association of Municipal Attorneys. She is also active in the Wenatchee community. She recently served as president elect of the Chelan-Douglas Young Lawyer’s Division and regularly lends her time to the Volunteer Attorney Services.
