Lee W. Kuo is a senior associate in the firm’s Business practice area, where she focuses her practice on healthcare and general business and corporate matters. Ms. Kuo’s healthcare practice focuses on hospital and physician contracting, fraud and abuse, privacy and security compliance, health information technology, public hospital district issues, professional and facility licensing, reimbursement, and equipment and office leasing. Ms. Kuo’s health information technology experience includes negotiating contracts for electronic health records, software licenses, data hosting services, and health information exchange systems. In Ms. Kuo’s general business practice, she assists clients in matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation and governance, real estate transactions, technology licensing and contract negotiation.
Ms. Kuo, a Seattle native, received a B.A. in Philosophy in 1996 from Stanford University. She received her law degree, cum laude, from Seattle University School of Law in 2005, where she served as Managing Editor of the Seattle University Law Review. During law school, Ms. Kuo also served as an extern at the University of Washington Health Sciences Division of the Washington Attorney General’s Office. Prior to law school, Ms. Kuo worked as a consultant working primarily with healthcare clients.
Ms. Kuo is a member of the Washington State Society of Healthcare Attorneys, American Health Lawyers Association, Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society, and Washington State and King County Bar Association. Ms. Kuo currently serves on the Board of Directors for Legal Voice. |
