Lee Corkrum, Of Counsel, is the former chair of the firm’s Litigation practice area. Mr. Corkrum’s practice is almost entirely devoted to litigation involving products liability and insurance defense, including commercial litigation, personal injury and construction cases. Mr. Corkrum’s litigation philosophy maintains that attorneys should be evaluated in the same manner as other service providers: on the basis of quality and cost. Mr. Corkrum seeks expeditious handling of cases from the outset so that his clients can determine the merits of any given case. He feels that groundless claims should be defended and meritorious claims settled and he believes that many controversies, regardless of merit, can be efficiently resolved through mediation or arbitration. Mr. Corkrum is a member of the Washington State and American Bar Associations, the Washington Association of Defense Counsel, Washington State Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Defense Research Institute. He is admitted to practice in all courts of the State of Washington and is also admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. Mr. Corkrum was born in 1947 in Yakima, Washington. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Washington in 1970 and his law degree from George Washington University in 1974. |
