Laura E. Carlsen is an associate in the firm’s Business Department and Litigation Department, where she focuses her practice on general business, general litigation, and beverage law.
Ms. Carlsen, a Seattle native, received a B.A. with a double major in Philosophy and Marketing & Business Leadership with a minor in Human Rights in 2007 from the University of Washington. Prior to law school, she worked in beverage marketing for SoBe Energy Drinks and for DRY Soda Company.
Ms. Carlsen received her law degree from Seattle University School of Law in 2010, where she was a member of the Moot Court Board and volunteered with the King County Bar Association’s Housing Justice Project. During law school, Ms. Carlsen interned with Symetra Financial’s in-house legal department and was later a summer associate with Ogden Murphy Wallace. She also served as an extern to Judge Robert J. Bryan of the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington at Tacoma. Before joining Ogden Murphy Wallace, she served as a judicial clerk to Judge Bryan.
Ms. Carlsen is a member of the Washington State and King County Bar Associations. She currently serves on the Seattle Panhellenic Alumnae Council, which supports local sorority alumnae chapters and fundraises for college scholarships. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Compass Health, a non-profit organization providing behavior health and chemical dependency treatment to individuals in the Snohomish, Skagit, San Juan, and Island counties. |
